🏆 The Grind: 24 Hours of Innovation

Axxess Hackathon 2025 was an all-nighter filled with debugging, problem-solving, and non-stop caffeine consumption. My team and I built AxxessCare, an innovative iOS app aimed at improving at-home patient education and engagement.

We brainstormed ideas to bridge the gap between patients and doctors, ensuring seamless communication and personalized healthcare guidance. Despite the sleep deprivation, we pushed through and created a functional prototype in under 24 hours.

🚀 Features We Built

✅ AI Assistant – Patients could ask about their medications, and doctors could retrieve patient history and treatment details through AI.

✅ Medication Tracking – Patients could log their medications and monitor their daily progress.

✅ Secure Authentication – We integrated Firebase for seamless and secure login.

✅ Real-Time Data Sync – Using Firestore, we ensured that patient records updated instantly for doctors.

💡 Reflections & Takeaways

🔹 Teamwork is everything. Each of us played a crucial role, from front-end design to backend integration.

🔹 Time management is key. We barely finished on time, but every second counted.

🔹 Hackathons are the best way to learn fast. I walked away with stronger iOS development skills and a new appreciation for sleep.
